As I began to draw influences from my immediate surroundings, I stumbled upon an array of fascinating objects that not only served specific utilitarian purposes but also possessed an intriguing allure. Subconsciously collecting these artifacts, I found myself captivated by their unique designs and functionality, completely disregarding their mere existence as mundane items. An unwrapped bandaid, crumpled up to show persistent abandonment, lay nestled amongst the chaos of my kitchen junk drawer. Beside it, a singular stamp patiently awaited its moment of service, ready to be affixed to the next letter I had to mail. And there, tucked away in a far corner, was a rogue bread tag, saved diligently just in case I needed a spare. These objects, once cast aside and forgotten, now held a deeper significance. Individually, they possessed a purpose that was easily overlooked. But as I searched for inspiration, my eyes fell upon them, and an idea sparked within me. With careful precision, I recreated each of these objects, capturing their essence in intricate detail. Using various silver wires, I weaved a web of complexity, resembling the messy entanglement of life itself. The cross-hatching behind them served as a reminder of the obstacles that often cloud our perspective, hindering us from appreciating the true value of these utilitarian forms.
